chris and catlin did us a favor a few months back and took some chickens from our farm. we were ready for some new babies and they gladly accepted the laying hens. chris and caitlin showed up in there flip flops and gathered 17 chickens faster than i could offer help. i knew just then- these two were meant for eachother! when they contacted me and asked if i would create a backdrop and capture guest portraits, i couldn't wait to join them on the special day! click the link below to view the guest gallery!

this family is special to us . this family came into our lives a few years ago. but we live like we've known each other forever. erik is our pastor. but he is so much more than that to our family. a friend. a best friend to my husband. his wife, case, a best friend to me. their son levi, a best friend to my son- bryson. their youngest son, bennett - the future husband of my daughter.
this skate shoot captures their family so well.

Now these two were the definition
of true love
while i might be a bit biased because the handsome young man is my cousin, these are photos capturing pure love - joy - excitement. these two just weeks away from saying "i do" adventured a bit into the burbs a bit to capture their love.
after a short drive talking about our joy and love for the Lord, the way they serve Him in loving eachother.
when we arrived we were starstruck by the beauty of the Creation and in awe of God's Glory. the florals, the architecture-- impecable.
we spent a few hours capturing their love + headed to chipolte + hit the road for home.
on the way home i got a bit ahead of my self and turned off the GPS. kena and i jammed to some Anne Wilson - REBEL - and i missed the turn. by missed i mean like by 45 minutes. whoops. we made it back just a bit later than expected.

alissa + collin
collin came into our life in a season that was rough. trent and i were newly married, pregnant and expecting our first son, bryson. collin became the youth pastor at our church + quickly became friends with trent. it has been a true honor watching collin and alissa move through the same stages of life he once saw us encounter a few short years ago.
these two welcomed sweet liam james in july. what an honor it is to be called to be these sweet babies earthly mother + father.
we shoot these at a local creek, and these two absolutely crushed this session. we went with airy, light and then some moody creek shots to show the beauty and grace alissa portrays as a person and now mother.
